Sounds like Lenoir will be starting on the outside. I like the guy and I thought he was looking okay there at the beginning of last season before being benched.

Was kind of hoping they'd let Womack play outside and keep Lenoir at slot. But I see why since Lenoir has experience at the pro level outside

Not sure if happy for Lenoir's development or disappointed that Ambry didn't get the call. There's no shame in not playing over Mooney and Moseley, but if Ambry is also behind Lenior (at outside CB) then that's kind of a bad sign. Let's go Lenoir!

So Lenoir outside and Womack inside?

That would be my guess.

Makes sense but I hear thl's concern about Thomas too. Kind of disappointing. He's really regressed.

yeah not thrilled with his regression

It's hard to tell. Did Ambry regress or did Lenoir simply improve a lot? Ambry is the day 2 pick, and last season was his first year back to football after not playing the covid season. I was hoping he'd take a leap forward and become a good player stuck behind better players (Mooney/Moseley), but now he's behind Lenoir too.

I think Lenoir just fit more as a NICKEL while Ambry is more of a CB..

Agreed but the issue is Ambry can't play the ball to save his life. Maybe he has improved. Time will tell

I haven't read anything on that yet but last week they moved Lenoir to the outside and Womack was in the slot after Moseley's injury

I'm not sure where he got that. There's been no report on who is replacing Moseley.
Gonna be tough with the hoss DL in shambles. We'll need to score a lot more than we have been.

I doubt they move D-Mo to the outside. Hes made for the nickel corner position. Physical guy who plays well against the run. Also, Kyle has said many times he does not like moving starters to another position to fill a void created by injury. That just creates another void.

For this very reason is why I think Brunskill is not starting at LT. No, he is not a starter, but he has been alternating with Burford at a fairly even snap count since healthy.

Kyle also mentioned the plan is to have JV start on the outside when he shows he is in game shape. It would not make sense to bounce guys around until that day comes.

Wait, did Kyle or Ryans say it's Lenior replacing Moseley? I just assumed btthepunk (original post in this chain) heard something.

I read it in an article late last night. I don't even remember who's article it was now.

Might have jumped the gun a little bit on it.

I think whichever player came in when Moseley went out is a good indicator. lamontb said it was Lenior who replaced Moseley on the outside and Womack was inserted into slot, so you may be right. Ambry came into the CAR game to replace Mooney after Kyle got spooked by Moseley's injury.

I will bet dollars to doughnuts that the only reason the 49ers had Bosa take part in a walk through practice AND allowed media to film it is to force the Falcons to prepare for him.

My bet is he doesn't play.

This is what my Magic 8 Ball says.

Of course they will prepare for him. And whoever replaces him is a lesser player so there really is not advantage to be gained by doing that. ATL's left tackle still has to block whoever is on the field

sounds right
The Falcons are wearing their throwback red helmets this weekend. Makes sense since they'll look just like they did when they always lost to the Niners.

jimmy and aiyuk hooking up for 5 tds in honor of joe and jerry
The stakes this week; do we want to take control of the NFC West.. or do we want to be looking up at the Falcons in the wild card standings..
