jimmy don't get mad.. so i expect the same s**tty mistakes and lose by 30
What s**tty mistakes did he make? The punt throw at the end of the half as time expired? The tipped pass that was intercepted? The fumble by Wilson? The bs call on Brendel for holding? The perfect deep throw that was dropped by Woerner? The perfect deep throw that was dropped by Ray-Ray? Should we blame Jimmy for the defense giving up 8.3 ypc on 6 QB keepers also?
Defense gave up only 21 points. If that's not enough to win, that's on the offense.
Yes. The defense only gave up 21 points. They also couldn't get off the field on 3rd down all game. The offense moved the ball well but all around sloppy play lead to a lack of scoring. Jimmy played rather well today and if you cannot see or accept that than you must have an agenda.
The only thing that matters is points. The defense gave up 21. The offense scored 14 points, 0 in the second half. Jimmy didn't play well.
Jimmy did play well but like I said, if you cannot see or accept that than you must have an agenda to push.
If you think Jimmy played well, then I think you need to reevaluate your criteria for playing well.

Give me a list of all his bad plays? You do that and I will give you a list of all of his great plays. Then we can see which list is longer.

With all the injuries, we are not even gonna field a team by the end of the season!

Why is everyone nitpicking this loss. Seems like all our losses to trash teams pretty much boil down to an epic failure on all aspects of football
I understand our defense has played great and I don't hold too much against them for losses but at the same time they did give up the backbreaker play. Offense did them no favors and it's not on D but if they could have held.
End of the day everyone s**t the bed today

Coming away from that game my biggest concerns are:
1) Run D….. They dominated time of possession. We always have a hard time with mobile QB's.
2) Run O…….. Hasn't been the same without Mostert.
3) Playcalling….. Was a bit more aggressive today because we were behind, but no urgency or execution when it counted.
4) Injuries….. contact injuries are explainable, but another groin (Ward) and Calf (MM) perhaps the players need to stretch better before the game or take Yoga classes… Something is amiss.
Falcons deserved their win, they were the better team…They're better than advertised and will be in the mix in the NFC south.
KC up next who just lost to the Bills so they'll be up for it, not so sure we will be based on todays performance….
The Offense is not capable of carrying this team, Perhaps a trade or two is needed. Kareem Hunt would be nice.

You forgot to add the two perfect deep passes that were dropped.
If all the dropped passes and bad weather throws and blinding stadium lights in his eyes (and dare I say….small hands ) weren't a factor, then Jimmy would be all world and we'd probably have 2-3 SBs.
Buts that not the case. As usual Jimmy's numbers past 10 yards are always horrid. The only thing that changes is our excuses for those missed opportunities.
It's boring now
So when passes hit receivers deep down the field in stride it is now the QB's fault. Got you.
No it's not. But it happens to all quarterbacks in every game. Doesn't mean that you can't put more than 14 points on a bottom dwelling team.
Not to mention 0 points in the second half. The Falcons defense was ranked 25th against the pass. Jimmy threw for 294 yards in the game but no TDs in the second half. The yardage looks impressive but the Falcons give up an average of 287 passing yards per game so his performance was about average against them. The drops were a factor but as someone pointed out every team has some dropped passes.
The sad thing was 2 of them were the best throws he made all day and maybe all year. The Aiyuk throw that got called back was a nice throw. The thing is we see way too few of those throws. So few that they get debated and talked about on this forum every week because they're unusual. Other QBs attempt more so they aren't such a big deal if they fall incomplete.
The games are going to get tougher starting next week so we have to get some of these starters back. The only good thing for the Niners is the rest of the division and most of the league are all about the same record so they aren't falling way behind.

Our defense was missing 6 starters to start the game. Then Ebukam a 7th starter was limping all game, And then we lost an 8th starter in C Ward for half the game. Huff, Greenlaw, and Warner were our only 3 healthy starters on defense. That's pretty depressing.

Jimmy played an excellent game. Now as for pointing fingers… how does one say…with 54 % of our starting D out with injury, what exactly do fans expect?. That means that one more than half our starting D didn't play. That is front and center why we lost. Less than half our D was on the field (starters).
Now if someone were to ask was the D at fault? I'd say the D , no….but all those fantastic things said about Demeco? Well, there you might justifiably have a culprit that everyone has been giving kudos to. Demeco is the DC who is going to have his own HC job next yr. He could do no wrong…at least until today, anyway.
Here's a question, Did Demeco NEVER see Marriota play QB? Was he not aware that Marriota was a running QB? And why or how, was the D so completely unprepared for the 4 Marriota runs, one for a TD and the other three for continuing 3rd down conversions that led to 3 more TDs?
What was demeco thinking? Why did he not have his team ready for Marriota to take off when under pressure? Based on Demeco's work in this game…he may get a chance to be our DC next yr also. But he sure as heck did NOT have our D ready for 4 different , key and critical runs that just broke our backs. You want to point fingers at someone….fine. Point them at the guy who did not have our D ready for 4 backbreaking runs by Marriota. Yeah, the same guy that everyone has been lavishing praise upon. Demeco failed us today and it was extremely simple. He didn't have our D ready for Marriota to take off. Worse, once, twice , after he saw it, he still didn't make a change to stop Marriota. Only one way to say this. Meco had a horrid game. F grade.
My sentiments exactly. DeMeco got outcoached today. He should've had a Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray type of defense with a spy or a linebacker focused on containing the edge. Mariota completely fooled our defense four times today at critical moments in the game.

i dont disagree but they were able to run the ball up the middle with success. That set their whole game up. If we took that away like we always do with a full roster we have a different game.

It is funny how you talk about Jimmy only throwing for 294 yards and then dismiss the drops all in one paragraph. Another poster brought up how Jimmy didn't put the team on his back.
The truth is, if those two drops were caught and Brendal doesn't get called for a bs holding call, Jimmy puts up 400+ yards and 3+ TD's today and we are talking about Jimmy the hero.
Its funny how a few plays out of the QB's control can completely change the narrative on said QB.

I don't know what the hell you guys are complaining about. We had NINE starters out going into this game and lost a couple more during the game. You're surprised that our third stringers lost to Atlanta? If you look at the records of all the teams right now almost every division is bunched up with in a game or two of each other. It's exactly what the NFL wants, parity. On any given Sunday was never more true than this year. It really doesn't take much to level the playing field. An injury, penalty, or missed opportunity and things swing dramatically one way or the other. It's not easy to overcome NINE starters out of the game for any team. There was much discussion about this being a 'trap' game and it was exactly that. If the team can get healed, they can be a serious contender just like most said they were prior to the injuries. We lost. It's not the end of the world. Nobody needs to get fired or demoted. What's needed is getting players healthy. It's not the time to panic like many do around here after a loss (and for some even after a win). Go Niners!
