Week 7 VS KC Chiefs Coaches Film Analysis

Well.....that SUCKED. That was some of the most depressing defensive footage I've watched in a while. There was too much bad to show.

Side note - one of the writers for the webzone, WayneBreezie, who also has a YT channel had his channel hacked. He had just hit 5k subs so if you were subbed to his channel, I have a link in the description of my video for his new channel. He needs to get back up to 1k as quickly as possible to start passing through the YT hoops. It sucks that it happened to him so if you followed him at all, maybe give him a little help with a sub. Thanks, y'all!

Thanks for biting the bullet on this one

Yeah. Took a lot of courage to rewatch that game.
Just downright poor performance from everybody on defense. Fowles is horrible and Huf has to take better angles. Reid simply attacked Fowles regardless of who he was covering.
Yes it was a bummer but you can now see our weak points which def was DBs/CBs.

Jimmy did his jimmy thing , but the loss wasn't ALL on Jimmy . The game was in reach in the fourth when the niners were down by 5.

I copied and pasted my viewpoints from a previous thread.

The Jimmy G end zone pick was a disaster but NO points came out of that turnover.

The safety was an odd one because Trent actually gets beat.

The real story was the niners giving up a FIFTY YARDER on 3RD AND 20,
THEN YET AGAIN ANOTHER 45 YARD pass to Shuchster, on ANOTHER 3rd down.

You have to play mistake free football against the Chiefs and the niners defense was full of mistakes. Offense wasn't perfect but when you give up 44 points , it will be almost impossible to win a game against the Chiefs.
You could also force the Chiefs into mistakes. Just the previous week, Chiefs put up 20 points at home against the Bills (who only put up 24 of their own). That's football. There's a give-and-take between both offenses and both defenses.
Maybe you've heard but David Lombardi mentioned you again in his latest video. Expect to see a jump in subs! 😁

I actually didn't 😳. David's been retweeting me some lately and Chapman and I are trying to put together a show with him, Crocker, Brian Peacock and Wayne as a way to get Wayne's channel back up.

In a way, I'm kind of glad that it was poor discipline (not staying in lane) that led to some of the KC big offensive plays, mainly the running plays. Also, the touchdown catch and run where the WR caught in the middle, wide open (on Warner). Those are correctable once each defender drills it into their head to stick to their assignment. Andy Reid did do a good job of taking advantage of the DL aggressiveness to get upfield. The DL is really missing Armstead and the push he got up the middle. No 49er can do what he does pushing the pocket from the DT position. Last season had Arden Key.
CMC looked quick in his carries. He could have helped against the man coverage KC was playing. 22 snaps this game and that will only go up. Once he starts learning enough of the offense to play slot, the short passing game will get a jolt.
Thanks for reviewing this film.
Really not too concerned about the defense based on this game. There were so many things working against them.

Down two starters on the line
Bosa, Huf, and both Wards barely practiced and aren't 100%
Greenlaw went down, which left us with one quality LB

The bigger issue to me continues to be the offense. Dumb penalties and guys just getting flat out beat on the line. Jimmy refusing to throw the ball away and/or literally stepping into sacks instead of away from them. Can't have six drives inside the 30 and come away with 13 points.

The Jimmy pick didn't lead to points, but it cost us points and momentum going into the half. We get a TD and make it 20-14, or a FG to make it 16-14, and the Chiefs opening half TD only has us down by 5 or less.
Talanoa huff'd, and puffed, and got his s**t pushed in
DT's are not a dime a dozen

Gibson is not an answer at FS

Gipson is slowww.
Watching this All-22 is quite upsetting (and not just bc of the crappy format they've gone to)...

Jimmy loses all sense of pocket awareness after the 1st quarter. It's almost like the scripted plays tell him to step up in the pocket. Once those plays are gone, he never seems to move well.
Had Aiyuk open for a big play and throws the ball at his feet.
On the high throw to Kittle on the rollout, could've had a TD to Aiyuk.
On the big gainer down the middle to Kittle, a better throw, that George doesn't have to slow down and wait for, probably goes for even more yards.
Still don't know how Jimmy doesn't see Willie Gay running free at him when he is looking that way the entire time. Gay was expecting a deeper drop and took a weird angle too. Jimmy could have taken one step up and he'd have probably run right by him.
Deebo gets so much attention when he is in motion or in the backfield. You could easily sneak someone into the space created when the defense focuses on him. Could be super easy to fake a toss, pitch, or screen to Deebo and hit Kittle over the middle.
