Remember when we all dreaded the "Moving the team to LA" rumor? Turns out we just have a vacation home down there.

Why did people dread it? Having the Rams in St Louis was a disaster. Not only did we lose the N vs S rivalry, for a while there they actually owned us. It was a Twilight episode. Im so glad they're back to being the LA Rams.

Im not talking about the Rams. Years ago before we could get a stadium deal worked out there was always a small chance that they could move the 49ers to LA for a stadium deal. It was likely more just to threaten the city of SF, but it made everyone nervous. Especially when they tried to switch to the city reference-less logo on the helmets that people hated.

He was already getting one. The NFL has way too many terrible head coaches for him not to get a shot.

What's happening to the Rams and what happened to the 2020 Niners are just 2 examples of how fragile NFL teams are. Key injuries and a couple of guys that leave for free agency is all it takes to drop you from SB to non contender. Staying competitive year after year is really tough between free agency and the salary cap. On top of that you have the balance in the league. Bottom feeders can jump up fat any time if they suddenly get the draft right and sign a couple of free agents. Now teams tha tlooked like wins you viewed the schedule turn into struggles.
