Yessir I saw that one and the Armstead injury. That's their Trent essentially. Big loss if he's not going.

I have a strong suspicion Kyle is going back to pass-first-centric this game. Call it a hunch.

I actually think that this is going to be our new identity as an offense. A bit of a spread, horizontal West Coast offense. Jimmy is showing he can operate like this and sling it around. And given his lower turnover ratio this season, I think he's showing we can trust him to throw 30-40 times a game.

It worked in previous seasons to have a dominant running game, centered on the outside zone. But I feel like defenses are just playing it so much better now and that running attack isn't as much of a competitive edge as it used to be.

In previous seasons, we would run... run... soften the defense up... and then boom... the knockout punch would be a Play Action shot play on a 20 yard crosser where the receiver would catch the ball in stride and run for another 30 yards.

This last game looked different... We were pass... pass... pass... and then we hit a well-timed draw that went 20-30 yards for a TD (that unfortunately got called back). Our run game is going to thrive in the second half of games because we're spreading the defense out more.

Run the ball with a banged up RB corp against the 10th ranked run defense or pass the ball to all of our weapons against the 22nd ranked pass defense. Hmmm, NC. You must be psychic. 🤣

Ya got me.

Which is perfect for Jimmy's short, efficient passing game. He can keep those pass rushers at bay with his quick reads and quick release.

Yup. The game within the game is McD knows all our stuff and will come prepared with counters. We may not be as versed cuz although we know the man we haven't been in his bldg the way he and his players have been in our bldg.

Mcdaniel probably knows what kind of deodorant Jimmy wears on gameday.

Olive oil?

This stuff with the Dolphins, mainly former 49ers has gotten out of control. I actually expect both teams to start fighting on the field at some point Sunday. Hopefully the refs will keep a close eye on it and warn both teams of the possibility of quick flags and ejections. Do what MLB does What bothers me is, I know the 49ers aren't the only organization to trade away or cut players in the NFL. Surely other organizations practice this same type of business decisions as well. All these former 49ers claiming that they were done wrong by the team and are out for blood is ridiculous.

I love it when a free agent or late round pick gets a chance to play and excels with the Niners, them complains when they let him go and sign a big free agent contract. They should be thanking Kyle for letting them play.
I heard there is the possibility of rain on Sunday. That could make it even harder for the defenders to stay with the receivers.

Rain rarely helps passing the ball.

Especially when Tua throws every deep pass with no power and the ball dies making Hill and Waddle always come back. Live in SO FL stuck watching them and that's how most of the deep balls are caught. Hill has changed that offense tremendously as well as McDaniel of course, DBS need to look back and attack the ball and if they do they'll have a chance to play the ball.

I think getting to Tua will be tough because he gets out that ball quick and it helps when corners are 10 yds back worried about Hill and Waddle with their deep speed.

I expect a ton of quick slants, screens, etc to their guys with their starting tackles out. Our defense should expect that and plan accordingly. Id love to see Huf jump a route for a pick 6.
Tua is short for Tuanigamanuolepola. Something I learned today.
