What he did, coming in unexpectedly with no reps and a game plan not tailored to his strengths, yes I'd say he did well. I even approve of his int. He took a shot and cost the team nothing. Solid outing and a fantastic confidence builder.

If we can win our division we are set up pretty good for the 1st two rounds IMO. If we finish with the #3 seed we will be hosting one of Seattle, Was, or NY and I am confident against any of those 3 teams at home. And if all the favorites win we will likely play the Vikings in the divisional conference game and I think we match up well vs them. Then we just got to hope the Cowboys or Bucs upset the Eagles and we will get to host one of those two teams. This assuming the Eagles end up with the bye.

Luckily the two strengths of the team, great defense and overpowering running game, are exactly what is needed to protect a young QB. I thought Purdy aquitted himself well against a quality opponent and without first team reps. All I can hope is that Kyle doesn't pare the playbook too much.

Is the season over? Can't answer that after what transpired. Still shocked over the loss of our starting QB. As of Sunday evening, everything looks hopeless. As if the season has come to an end, and the plight of Jimmy G. Things will get better as the week goes on, take them one game at a time.

This. I'm only feeling the abject loss of a starting caliber nfl qb. I'm not a Jimmy homer. He's limited. But he was playing his best ball and good enough to make this team a super bowl contender.

Not a knock in purdy but he's a last of the draft 7th round rookie. Not even a first pick rookie or any rookie qb has won the super bowl. And that's what I'm dying for. Ravens loss a killer. Chiefs even worse. The giants Seahawks and Rams championship games.

I know there are the browns the lions etc but it's arguably equally heart wrenching to never seal the deal in the excruciating and seemingly incessant fashion this team does.

just gutted. And tired/baffled at this teams perpetual misfortune

Why? What Purdy just did was exponentially harder than what Jimmy has. And he did it at the same level. Our team is built like a brick s**thouse.
