I detect a person who will root against Purdy in defense of his/her crush.

It's hard to watch Purdy today and think it's over. He looked pretty damn good.
Now, I am not one of those who thinks one game makes a career. Let's wait a few weeks, let the film get out there, and see how it goes.
But, seriously, the kid looked legit today.

Too soon to say.
We need another game from Purdy to see how he runs the offense.
But it's not like we just lost an irreplaceable elite QB. Just a good experienced vet that was doing the work put in front of him.
This team has top talent everywhere. All will need to elevate their games.

Not like I have a ton of faith in Purdy, but man you are like clockwork with negativity. Like, consistently impressive.
He just thinks Jimmy is the reason for our success. There are others, but they'll all soon have to come to terms.
Because I mean the 9ers have just been so successful without him.
Jimmy G may not be the main reason, but he one of the reasons, not sure how anyone can deny that.

Yes, in terms of we won't win the Super Bowl.
But we'll still make playoffs and who knows what happens.
I'm still gonna be there every step of the way win or lose.

How successful were they today, against a team with a better record, after losing our starting QB? Time for your fairy tale to be end, homie! PLEASE tell me how Jimmy would have fared better!!!!

As long as he can make those crucial third downs we will be okay, our defense is going to keep us in most games anyways. But knowing how last few years have gone it's going to come down to one or two throws, can he make those? Hopefully! Everyone says he has a great work ethic but when you think about it; it's not like they are going to say he's garbage 😂

Agreed, it's not just the won-lost record that people always sh*t on as a meaningless stat, but look at the PPG average with him vs without him. It's not even close, 27 points per game with him vs 19 per game without him. You can win a Super Bowl averaging 28 points a game with this defense, but you won't beat the KCs or Eagles of the league only scoring 19 points a game. Except for Bosa, there is not one single person that is the main reason why they win, but he was pretty important.

Why? So I can be like you and lose faith in my team's season?

Of course. And I have said let's wait a few weeks. See what adjustsments are made. But Brock was making throws today Mullens could never make. Mullens was a hard worker, but severely talent-limited. Brock might be too, but after one game, and let me stress, ONE GAME, I have more faith in Brock than I ever had in Mullens.

yes, it's over without Jimmy G, imho. There is a reason why Purdy was just Mr. Irrelevant, sorry.
I hope that I am wrong though.
