Is the season over without Jimmy G?

Originally posted by Goatie:
Purdy managed a 67.5% completion rate and 2 touch downs. He is better than Mullens, Breathard, and Hoyer and has been involved in more winning games then Lance

Trey won a game for us last year, down the stretch, that kept us in the post season.

So they both are responsible for 1 win. Technically, Brock doesn't even have a win since wins go to the starter.

Not like I have a ton of faith in Purdy, but man you are like clockwork with negativity. Like, consistently impressive.

He just thinks Jimmy is the reason for our success. There are others, but they'll all soon have to come to terms.

Because I mean the 9ers have just been so successful without him.

Jimmy G may not be the main reason, but he one of the reasons, not sure how anyone can deny that.

How successful were they today, against a team with a better record, after losing our starting QB? Time for your fairy tale to be end, homie! PLEASE tell me how Jimmy would have fared better!!!!

Even Nick Mullens won a game, might wanna pump your brakes there pal.

Why? So I can be like you and lose faith in my team's season?

Wow you're so cool. You must be such a tough guy too doing that behind a screen. smfh

Who said I lost faith and where did I say that?? Was it my "When has a rookie QB won a Super Bowl comment", well tell me something that will give me confidence that they still can win it, instead of posting s**t that only makes you look silly. Losing Jimmy sucks, so yes, I feel the Super Bowl window got smaller.

And if it turns out Brock aint the guy, then our team is built for plug and play pocket passers. There are quite a few around the league waiting for a shot.

Kind of an underrated point tbh

Of course. And I have said let's wait a few weeks. See what adjustsments are made. But Brock was making throws today Mullens could never make. Mullens was a hard worker, but severely talent-limited. Brock might be too, but after one game, and let me stress, ONE GAME, I have more faith in Brock than I ever had in Mullens.

I mean, lets not take any credit away in Mullens' first start either I thought he looked just as good too, 262 yards and 3 TD's no INT's.

That doesn't mean I lost faith, Super Bowl window is smaller, how is that losing faith?? Do I have faith Purdy can get them to the Super Bowl, yes, am I confident when I say that, not really.

My god, how old are you??

Why tell you how he would've fared better when all I'll get is denial. I mean did you forget before Jimmy was injured he threw two passes for 56 yards, that's TWO!!! Now imagine if he were to finish the game. I mean if you saw this coming in Brock Purdy, then maybe Jed York should've made you head coach.

Very sorry if I hurt your feelings.
Isn't it WILDLY ironic that the people who think we can't win a super bowl with (or despite, depending on your camp) Jimmy G are the ones who call people DELUSIONAL for thinking that.

And yet, they expect pro football and this team to not skip a beat with Purdy.

Yes, he punched WAY above his weight class in this game. But talk to me in five weeks.

I hope he proves me wrong. But to not be realistic and have concern the season is over without a true starting QB and have people think YOU'RE the one that's thinking irrationally is...welp, i guess, a microcosm of the polarized, dysfunctional thinking that is this country...further distilled into this fanbase.
