But yea let's keep rooting that Jimmy G gives us the best shot at winning horn.

Nobody is arguing that s**t. But lets not sit here and act like Jimmy would've won or lost the game, when he's had a lot of experience at come back wins.

This place.

How dare the fan base of a Super Bowl favorite criticize their game against one of the worst teams in the league using a backup QB in his first game?

How do you know for "very sure", Jimmy goes for the quick pass most of the time. Anyway arguing this is pointless.

Jimmy's quick passes would get Kittle or Deebo killed bc they were always high AF and he could never catch them in stride.

BCB can make tight window throws and also looks downfield. There's a reason why Kittle and Aiyuk's production is up since BCB has come in…because he looks downfield and is willing to take those shots.

Plus I'll take untested BCB in the playoffs vs Jimmy G in the playoffs. Jimmy's playoff numbers suck butt.

I understand new fans not knowing about Kittle breaking the TE record with Jimmy.

He broke it with Mullens.

First time in the zone?

And obsessing about Jimmy.

As evidenced by your gaffe. #JustSayin

I owned it. I should've kept my mouth shut and got what I deserved. It's just annoying how much y'all(you specifically)talk about him. Ill just let you obsess from now on.

To be real, that was a team fighting to not get eliminated from playoff contention.

Like I said earlier and I'll say it again.

Jimmy doesn't have the legs to win us that game today. He's not shootout guy unless it's 2019 vs Saints.

Purdy has helped this offense put up 30+ points in 4 of 5 games so far. And minus today, these were convincing victories. So far we have seen him able to step on defense's throats and come from behind to win games. He's getting some damn good experience against some damn good defenses. So let's keep enjoying this and let the magical journey continue.

I agree with you that it's micromanaging to suggest play-by-play which QB would win out.

The performance over several games is where I'd clearly have to take Brock, as I'm convinced that Jimmy just couldnt sustain such a level of play.

He wouldn't have to won. You're kidding yourself if you think he would have. Look what happened vs KC. against Atlanta. Comeon now…

So SB or bust with Purdy?

Now that the game is over I must say our fanbase kinda sucks. We are rolling with a 3rd string QB who came up clutch multiple times. Our defense falters and it's doom and gloom. That 49ersring should be banned. So much negativity. Some fans say we'll be one and done but in the same day we actually move up a seed! Great things happened today

There's no negativity in the fan base to say the defense sucked today. They defense did suck
it's facts they did not play up to thier season standards. Check the stats it's facts.

acknowledge they suck. Or don't it matters not in the great scheme of life but they did suck and if they keep playing like that we won't go far.

And no one should get banned for saying they sucked
they are just reporting on what the defense put out today

Good or bad,...you see a guy that has control of the pocket and what the team is trying to get done. From start to finish.

I saw a dude that was able to win an ugly game. Everyone's complaining about this and that, but I see 37 points and a big time win on the board.

he's scored over 30 points a game every game except the Seahawks. When has Jimmy ever even come close to averaging this many points per game in any stretch?

Purdy showed his veteran skills tonight 😏. We should all be excited about what we saw from a tight game like this

Yeah, those horrid throws to Kittle were a true sign of a savvy vet. Oh wait…..

Which one?

The one where Kittle run the wrong route?
The two throws he dropped (one for a TD)?
The contested catch he couldn't make like the top-3 TE he's supposed to be?

To me it was Kittle who had an awful game.

Now we're attacking the veteran stars of the team to prop up a rookie?

Kilt tile and BA were average today.

Average despite having 100 yards receiving and a TD lol. Even the drops in this game were (with a few exceptions) all on bad throws.

1. Who got him the ball? Some gusty accurate throws contributed to that.

2. 2 drops as well.

Everyone made mistakes today. Aiyuk, Trent Williams, Purdy, the entire defense, etc...

I honestly think this team was out partying in Vegas for NYE last night. No joke. That's what it looked like to me.

Purdy carried the team today. Everyone made mistake.
he made the least and he's part of every snap whereas kittle and aiyuk are not so when they f**k up u have to account for that to matter more.

slcniner is right for as much as kittle was targeted he had a bad game 3 mistakes for little vs 3 for purdy matter more because percentages matter.

Like I said earlier and I'll say it again, he could've won this game just as Purdy did. Could he have done it the same way, probably not but you act like Jimmy doesn't see the field too. Purdy is a damn good, hes doing some great things, no one is saying Jimmy could do it better. Not saying you're saying this but I feel like this is where its going.

The defense certainly sucked today. I acknowledge that. But throughout the game you would have thought we were a 3 win team with everyone's job on the line.

All I kept seeing "we're gonna lose, this season is over, we've been exposed, demeco shouldn't be considered for anything, Purdy is regressing.." The last one really threw me for a loop. I thought Purdy played great today.

I wish I saw more fans realize we were in a dogfight with a team fighting for a lot. First those coaches don't want to lose their jobs and at least appear competent. Next those raider players are still talented and simply punched us in the mouth. They were fighting for playoffs at home. We underestimated Stidham and voila, they played us hard.

My mindset the entire game was to just win. Forget about the last game mentality and just root for my team. Not bash them while they are down. That's what was pissing me off. I rarely visit the GameDay thread. Maybe I'll just stay away if fans cannot realize although it was a sloppy win, we locked up the #2 seed in the process. Winning is hard in this league and I enjoyed it.

He missed some things but it wasn't ugly at all to me. We just didn't dominate from start to finish.
