This place.

How dare the fan base of a Super Bowl favorite criticize their game against one of the worst teams in the league using a backup QB in his first game?

Gimme a break.

Calls of Game over at 10-7?
this game was awesome! We have dominated so may teams recently, we needed a close one… kittle was off his game big time but the atmosphere was electric and we won! Best game I have attended in a while

You have to enjoy the panic, lol. As s**t as that game was the only time I thought they could lose was when they lost the coin toss in overtime. I was also lightweight surprised the Raiders didn't go for two when they scored the final TD in regulation.

Like I said earlier and I'll say it again, he could've won this game just as Purdy did. Could he have done it the same way, probably not but you act like Jimmy doesn't see the field too. Purdy is a damn good, hes doing some great things, no one is saying Jimmy could do it better. Not saying you're saying this but I feel like this is where its going.

Jimmy doesn't look 20 yards upfield and doesn't even attempt passes over 30 yards.

Purdy does both those things and delivers the ball to those zones.

has jimmy ever came back from a 10 point deficit ?

At least a few times. Last time was down 17-0 against the Rams in week 18 last season I believe.

Just a reminder.

Adams trapping the ball on the ground was not a catch.

3 off the top of my head are:

14 points in 2019 vs Saints
16 points in 2019 vs Cards
17 points in 2022 vs Rams

Could be more but those are the only 3 I can think of.

Just coming here to say this was a fantastically entertaining game. Had family over for a New Years lunch spread and we had a lot of fun cheering for the niners.

While I was surprised at the D breakdowns I knew it was an any given Sunday scenario. Glad the Raiders played the way they did.

In the playoffs every team we will face is capable of dropping 30 on this D, so we'd best get used to seeing how we'd respond in all facets, for 60 minutes of football.

Told the family before the game this is a dress rehearsal super bowl party.
I still absolutely believe that now.
That was a roller coaster of a game.. a thriller! Our D got sliced and Our offense was able to keep it close until the D made a great play for us to win it. Good experience for Purdy. And it's against the Raiders.. even better.

Such a bad call. Unfortunately, there was no good camera angle to make it conclusive even though I think you could safely assume it hit the ground based on his hand being to the side of the ball and not underneath it.

Yeah, that was a bad call. The ball clearly hit the ground but oh well.
Im not usually one for calling out refs but they had a bad game calling this one. A lot of ticky tack calls they had big impacts in the game.

refs in general sucked this weekend, pro or college

Probably not a catch, but impossible to overturn with the visual evidence. Still, a hell of a play to make it arguably a catch.

Jimmy is a good Qb and was playing some really good ball before the injury. Purdy is playing some great ball too and got some valuable experience tonight.

no need to knock anyone to pick up another player.
I just read that this is Kyles second win when trailing by double digits in the second half since he became coach in 2017

Not surprised. It had become a constant theme that if the gameplan (script) didn't look like it was instantly spot on, we were probably in for a long day on offense.

That doesn't look to be the case anymore.
