We should expect at least one trick play / fake punt / etc.

I think so too. SEA needs to pull some tricks to pull this off. I don't think they can simply line up and outplay the 49ers. Surprise onside, fake field goal, go for it on 4th down when conventional wisdom says not to, something.
I don't like this match up. Seattle has seen us twice, will pull out all the stops. Has any team ever beaten any other team three times in a season? It was a curse for us last year against LA. I can see some goof ball quirky last second BS messing us up.

Having said all that, we should be able to outscore them. We need to adjust our defense so geno doesn't go 32-35 again.

He good.

Yeah the "three times" fear is strange to me. History and experience say the opposite. If we had won the earlier games as the result of lucky plays, fine, be worried, but we were/are clearly better.

Yes. The team that won the first two games went onto win the 3rd game 67% of the time.

Historically the winner of the first two goes on to win most of the time. According to internet lore, this situation has happened 23 times and the team sweeping during the regular season is 14-9. If you beat them twice you are probably better and should probably beat them a third time.

And I think that number is even higher when the home team in the 3rd game has won the first two.

that fear exists cuz it bit us last year; I don't have it but to explain why folks do

I think people are reacting to beating Rams twice last year and then losing the 3rd.

I think...

If there's something SEA can reference as a reason for possibly faring better in this playoff game is that their first matchup was in week 2 when Geno wasn't quite familiar with the offense. Match up number two was a Thursday game and those games are unpredictable. So now, they are more prepared for the 49ers.
Safe to say getting eliminated (again) by pete da cheat is a 49er fan's worst nightmare.

I really can't see it happening, but can you imagine the repercussions?

Also getting that up close and personal scout of Purdy. I think we caught some teams by surprise with CMC and Brock we broke our own tendencies and created a new offense that Ds are having to adjust to.

Geno has been on that team for a few years. He knew the offense

We are a lot healthier going into this game and we are at home. I think we have the game securely in the bag by the 4th quarter.
