Geno is fine for now, their offense was not the issue this year. Bmv is right though. They are the team we should fear the most. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade down as well, they will have a lot of ammo to replenish their defense. And they do have a couple solid young defensive players.

The guy that made them tough for all those years was Wilson. 49ers rarely had trouble playing them close, even when they were at their best, it was Wilson pulling some crazy play out of his ass that made them some incredibly difficult to beat. Geno ain't that guy. I hope they pay him lots of money.

Sort of like Purdy today. We gave them payback.

I love it that Purdy had a couple Wilson-like plays against them. Now they know how we felt!!!

Yes they do. For a long, long time too…

Poor Trey Lance. He never even got the chance to become Wally Pipp…

Ya gonna be interesting what they pay Geno. But I was more responding to the previous poster who asked which three teams will be the most competitive going forward. Hard to argue about Seattle being that team for now. But definitely don't think they will be as good as they were in the past.

Too bad the 49ers can't give this kid what he deserves. Hopefully he picks up a sponsor or two to hook him up with some extra cash. His contract is ridiculously cheap right now.

He had at least 3 chances

Even with Geno I don't expect Seattle to be what they before in 2012-13. If the 49ers keep the team intact with the addition of Moseley back, I expect the 9ers to own the NFCW for a while.

Stark contrast though. Wilson used to run around and throw up prayers. LUCK plays. Brock is methodical. He progresses through his reads, buys time, then goes back to his reads to find open receivers. Much more skills involved….

Yeah but it still feels good to give them a taste of it. And IMHO his scrambling plays remind me more of Mahomes than Wilson.

Haha.....was thinking the same thing when Pete was talking about it post-game. One of those scrambles had to make him swallow his gum.

Geno is a really good game manager but nothing more. He's very Alex smith Esque - needs everything to go well and the team to make no mistakes, because they can't make it up against the good teams. Sure they'll get better but I also think Geno is going to have a hard time repeating the same success.

im not worried about them like I was when Wilson was there but they'll be a thorn in our side.
