I say, steady on there. We love our team and talk trash, but there some places we shouldn't go.
Wawa is a national treasure.
Wawa sucks and so does a cheesesteak.

He isn't making a difference for Philly statistically.

I can't guarantee a 49er win. That's how tough this matchup is going to be. I'll say though, if we do defeat Philly, and we defeat them unscathed, I think we finally win #6 baby.

After seeing that stat on the other thread : something like 40 of the eagles sacks came in the first 6 games. The remaining 11 they had 30.
Different teams they faced early on. Just like talking our season average on offense and mixing in Jimmy Gs stats with Brock's. We know what our eyes tell us and that's we score way more TDs with Brock and he's had 2 games where Kyle took him out in the 4th qtr and had mercy on the other teams.

You think he'd fit in with the locker room culture we have?

If Jimmy was starting today, I don't think we'd stand a chance. We would have probably lost against Dallas anyways. No way he could brace for that defensive effort from them…

Not comparing Hurts to Mahomes. The issues lie in the 9ers' D glaring weaknesses in defending the deep ball outside of the numbers plus running QBs. Personally, I think the eagles are good but overrated and haven't been punched in the mouth by a good team this year (besides the cowboys but there were injuries). So I'm excited to see how we do against this so called historic defense. I also think the mark of a great team is one that can win when injuries mount up AKA great coaching. When hurts went down, eagles were absolute crap. He's still injured and going up against us, very physical and violent - we attack who ever has the ball.
i also think hurts shoulder is going to be a MAJOR factor in this game. Couple that with lane Johnson's abdominal tear (very painful to play with) and he's going up against DPOY.
Purdy is super competitive. Losing to hurts in college is a problem for him and I expect he will want revenge.
we are going to blow open this game with a 14-0 lead and the final score will be 31-17 Niners! It'll be a close game until we score a nail in the coffin TD to lock it up!
I hope you are right bro.
Last week, I thought the 9ers would blow the Cowboys out of the water and I was miles off. Because I thought last year Jimmy was injured with his shoulder as well as having a busted thumb and we still beat them 23-17, so I thought it shouldn't be that much of a stretch to go up 2 TDs. I was dead wrong as it turned out.
No doubt the Eagles were garbage when Hurts was out, but I think that is just a testament of Hurts being miles better than Gardner Minshew.
The way I look at it is this is just a terrible match-up for the 9ers. I place a lot of emphasis on the trenches. Eagles easily dominate the lines on both sides of the ball. That to me pretty much dictate in large part the outcome of the game already. You add that to Hurts' deep ball outside of the numbers to AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith on top of his read option running ability (which by the way happen to be our D's worst weaknesses) is lights out.
I made a long post a few days back, if I have to look at this game objectively I just can't see how the 9ers can win. I just can't see it. May be I am looking at the wrong thing. The vibes of this game is totally different to the Cowboys game. We were the favorite and most people thought the 9ers would beat the Cowboys. This game however is completely different. I was already dreading this game weeks ago.

He's about to find out whether he made the right decision. Remember it was between us and Philly. He thought they had a better chance at winning it all…

Go Home Economics Brock!
He's not at that level yet, showing up decked out in a suit like Jimmy GQ. Nothing wrong with dressing like he's one of the guys.
Yeah I know but he does look incredibly young. Maybe younger than his actual age. Hope he kills it today.

I would not want to play these Niners with their backs against the wall. Something about SF being underdogs in a hostile environment has me believing in our team even more. They've been here before. I expect that SF will shock a lot of people today

Remember guys, when you're panicking in this thread whenever things aren't going our way, just think of John Candy.

I think the Eagles are today what Dallas was last year. An aura of self entitlement. Like they already won the game. That's what happened in Dallas last year and we punched them in the mouth. This year they came in with a different mentality….an underdog's mentality that's why they played tougher.
I think Philly is the same way. I think they're coming in thinking they have it in the bag. All week it's all about them them them and we've been flying under the radar. I think…and I hope…that we punch them in the mouth and shock them today.

Difference being they have won a recent SB. Something neither us or D has done. Until we take the 6th we can go to NFC championship every year. It doesn't matter.
This team is about as good as it can get. Really. No team is perfect so can't cry about Secondary or OL depth. If we can't do it with this squad I'm not sure what to say.
