Some of you youngsters don't know what bad times look like unless you lived through the immediate post Mariucci era... 9-23 under Dennis Erickson... 23-41 under Nolan and we were talking about teams with NO hope. And then even more recently and just prior to Kyle you had the debacles that were Chip Kelly and Jim Tomsula! I am 52 years old and my old man took me to my first ever Niner game at The Stick in 1977. We had Jim Plunkett at QB and taht team was 5-9 and the next year was even worse when went 2-14! Then we got some kid called Joe at QB... a kid taht played at a major midwest university... who was considered undersized and not particularly athletic but with good football smarts... What was his name again? Brock Purdy? No, it was of course Joe Montana but that is the same description for Purdy!
Y'all need to chill out and take stock...
We have a GREAT Coch in Kyle.
We have a fantastic GM in Lynch who isn't afraid to take chances...
We have Deebo locked up...
We have MCCaffery
We have Aiyuk
Bosa
Kittle
Greenlaw
Warner
2 young QBs on rookie contracts and will have around $30 million in cap space.
We finished teh regular season 13-4 with a THIRD STRING QB and was the top third of the leage in terms of most injured team in the NFL.. yet we still surviced.
WE JUST PLAYED IN THE DAMNED CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
Yes, we will lose Demeco to Houston and no doubt we will lose some players, but they will also be replaced. Kyle and Lynch have shown a knack for evaluating late round draft picks so I am not worried.
We have had a GREAT season and while this one hurts, I am so proud of this team!
Ride or die.. Bang bang Niner gang baby!
We are in agreement CainanUK!!
$30 million??? Really??? I'm seeing $16.5 million on OTC and $13.8 on Spotrac. Where's AB?

As long as Roger Goddell is running the show the Niners won't ever win a Superbowl, if u guys still in denial about the league fixing games keep getting your hopes up. Even if Purdy doesn't get hurt all those BS calls go against the Niners and we still end up losing the game.
I don't know what Jed York ever did to piss off Goddell but we ain't winning s**t unless that SOB is out the league. Since 2011 NFL officiating has been screwing over SF no coincidence it's been under Goddell watch.

Cmon now. Both Fox and CBS commentators acted that way. Philly players celebration a loss od yards on out nineteenth carry. Cmon. After about the fourth play of seeing Purdy hust hand off ot was going to be all run. Theres only so much you can do when a good d knows we can only run. Big difference in needing to run and only thing we can do is a run.

Just woke up from the other side of the world. I had to turn it off at half time.
To be honest, I don't feel so bad because I predicted pretty much everything that happened last night.
Bottom line is this, this 2022 roster is just not good enough. I knew it from the start of the season. While I was wrong in underestimating how good CMC is in that trade, I was always worried about the D-line when I saw we could no longer just rush 4 as the line lacked push. Basically, John Lynch needs to learn a lesson from Howie Roseman. The dude had a vision and most of all was super aggressive. He focused on the trenches and had a goal of what he wanted to achieve. Both of their lines are far superior to the 9ers especially their D-line. You already knew something was up when they were sacking people left right and center. And to get to 70 sacks, 26 more than the 9ers? You just knew it was coming.
John Lynch knew about that, but was derailed in a way once he and Shanny decided to draft a QB in Trey Lance. Of course it didn't help when his No.14th pick Kinlaw turned out to be a bust after he decided to move Buckner. He still tried to find rotational players for the D-line, it just wasn't enough. On the other hand, once the Eagles' season started rolling, Howie Roseman went even more aggressive, he traded for Robert Quinn, even then he wouldn't stop there, just having an extra quality EDGE alone wasn't enough for him, so he added Suh for the interior of their line which Lynch lost out to. Wow, just wow. You almost have to admire Howie Roseman and that D-line. Even 9ers' own 2019 line with Buck and Dee Ford wasn't as good as this Eagles D-line.
In the end, it was also this Eagles D-line that basically defeated and eliminated the 9ers. So, the moral of the story is there is no free lunch in this world. If you want to go to the Super Bowl and mow down all your opponents, you will need a league sack-leading D-line. And as you can see, it paid off for the Eagles.
In retrospect, I kind of felt like what the Eagles must be feeling now about their team back in 2019 with that 9ers squad. While we had a 12-game winning streak this year, I never had that same feeling of true dominance and confidence when we mowed people down like we did with that 2019 team. John Lynch and Shanny need to take a step back, wake up and refocus themselves into putting all their energy and resources into rebuilding our D-line for the next few years. And O-line too if you don't want your QB to go down and lose the NFCCG.
In terms of outlook, I think the 9ers can still lurk about in making deep playoff runs. But, in my view, not until we can get back to that same 2019 level of dominance with our roster and in particular surpassing the Eagles, I don't expect us to win the Super Bowl anytime soon. That unfortunately is the cold hard reality.

We will save 10-12 mil letting JG go for one. And D Ford & few others will save another 5-8 mil. And they will restructure some contracts. Just off the top of my head.

Your brother isnt very smart if he thinks there is an agenda for the NFL to influence the outcome by telling the referees to call the game for one team over another. Think about the downside if something like that ever came out. Simply stupid
Yeah gee...an agenda over something that affects a multi-billion dollar a year industry with sports betting...that would be absurd.
