LANCE (IMO) showed where he belongs at the moment.. and that's w/the 3rd stringers..

What did Darnold do? Was it his 3 three and outs? His inability to move the ball outside of his final drive against lesser talent?

Then Sam is an easy choice

What the hell has Sam done to get this much praise? People acting like he has just been out there tearing it up in camp and the games? He has been meh in practices and just decent in games but nothing spectacular.

It's not that sam is great, it's that he's more reliable. Lance is very Dr jekyl/mr hide.

i think we keep all three but I can see Sam as #2.

If Lance is #2, I think it's to save his value. If he goes to 3, I think his value is going to be worse.

Darnold is far from reliable. He's a proven turnover machine, so either way, it will be rough with him or Lance. But the potential to get better is still there for Lance. Darnold is what he is at this point, unreliable and turnover prone.

Imagine calling someone with barely 3 games Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde and calling the guy with 50+ games of literally Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde more reliable. Seriously, have some of you not seen Sam play? He has PLENTY of games for you guys to choose from if not. Darnold been a turnover machine since college too if you would like to go further back. It's insane the leash some of you give him compared to Trey

so because Trey had two good drives tonight, he all of a doesn't the the ball over and/or have really bad plays consistently? Even on the second to last drive, he had quite a few almost interceptions. That's what known currently when you have Trey in, usually bad play and every once in a while nice plays. That's dr jekyl and mr Hyde.

no ones saying Sam is a great QB, but common sense tells you that he's more reliable than Trey right now. He hasn't turned the ball over with us (that was his fault) and barely any turnovers in camp. This is a stacked team with a competent coaching staff that would know how to not put him in the positions he was in the past when he made all those turnovers.

stop looking at everything through a fans perspective and try thinking about it if you were the Coach and what's best for the team, you'd realize how incompetent some of you sound.

Darnold's series were not very good because he got sack 3x from what I remember.. but he was throwing the ball well.

Funny, people all week were b***hing about Treys sacks.

The film said that half of them were his fault. That's all. It's not an emotion thing.

Darnold took two tonight. It looked like one them might have been his fault (or at least potentially avoidable). Have to wait and see on the all-22.

We want both of these guys to be good, lol!
Darnold seems like he's pretty good at making the easy routine throws that are the foundation of this offense (like Purdy). The question is what exactly does Purdy do that Sam Darnold couldn't with a bit of seasoning in the offense?

Seems like Darnold could throw screens to Deebo all day.

Bias is as bias does…

No one is changing their minds. The reality is both guys are similar. Both guys can win. And with Brock, we have 3 guys we can be successful with. So unless they want a 1st rounder, the objective is 🏆 this year.

See the field better, better poise in the pocket, better improv game.

Could Sam get to those places with time? Maybe. Why would we try to find out outside of being forced into it through injury?

He's a backup here. Probably a damn good one with our stars and good coaching reducing the his burden.

I am happy, I'm amped for Trey. It was the other guys comment that is nonsense.
