We'll beat them if we have healthy Armstead and Hargrave. The backend of the defense needs to wear their big boy tackling undies to this game.

Ravens defense is very good. They are much better than the eagles or cowboys.

These 5 guys are top of the line:
Justin Madubuike (DT)
Roquan Smith (LB)
Patrick Queen (LB)
Kyle Hamilton (SS)
Marcus Williams (FS)

R Smith said: beating the 49ers is very simple, we shutdown the 49ers run game, make them one dimensional, and that's how you beat them.

49ers toughest opponent in the regular season coming up.

R Smith feelin themselves and sounding a little cocky…
I think that bodes well for us.

Yup, that gameplan may have been true for every other QB in the Shanny era, but I dare them to believe that with Purdy

Yeah, great point about being change of pace backs. Thunder and Lighting!

John Harbaugh has a defensive back - background, and I think, very similar to Wilks defensively and how they both like to blitz and cause turnovers with those blitzes. Both are good coaches, and so with good coaches, you really can't fool them, or if you try, they can out-execute you because their teams are well trained and balanced. So, this is the game I think where Kyle can outsmart himself if he tries to reach for too many offensive tricks in his bag.

Kyle, just run the dang ball, get 2nd and short and slice and dice the Baltimore D with Brock's Dot throws, please!

The all time record is 4-2 (we beat them in 1996 and 2015)

  • Week 3 Colts: Moss, 30 carries, 122 yards, 4.1 ypc
  • Week 6 Titans: Derrick Henry, 12 carries, 97 yards, 8.1 ypc (albeit, that does include a 63 yard run)
  • Week 7 Lions: Gibbs: 11 carries, 68 yards, 6.2 ypc
  • Week 8 Cardinals: Demercado, 20 carries, 78 yards, 3.9 ypc
  • Week 10 Browns: Ford, 17 carries, 107 yards, 6.3 ypc
  • Week 11 Bengals: Mixon, 16 carries, 69 yards, 4.3 ypc
  • Week 14 Rams: Williams, 25 carries, 114 yards, 4.6 ypc

The Rams are schematically the most similar offense to ours, and they were able to run the ball.

This is where CMC will come in as a receiver too, he can get lost in the sauce hence his 7 TD's!!!

Yes sir, this is a game where CMC and Deebo will probably do more damage on the ground than in the air. But they both will still get their receiving yardage, for sure.

Roquan is exactly right. When we can't run the ball Kyle's play calling seems to meh at best. It's been that way since he's been here.

No coincidence our 3 worst rushing days were CLE, MIN & CINCY Kyle has to call a different game when we can't rush the ball.

Yup, that's forever the recipe, good luck with Deebo, CMC, TW healthy they are gonna get shoved all over the field

totally agree, Trent Williams will be a big factor in this game.
I'd feel a lot better about this game if I knew the DTs were healthy. The Cards took heavy advantage of that. That being said, Seattle and Philly both have far better players at WR and RB than what Baltimore has right now. I don't think the Niners had to deal with Kenneth Walker, but Charbonnet is better than what the Ravens have left at RB. Goeddert is way better than Baltimore's backup TE. Dallas' WR, RB and TE were also substantially better. I think we're going to see the same defensive gameplan from the Philly game. Keep LaMar in the pocket, even at the expense of giving him more time to throw, but also prevent him from killing you running the ball. In hindsight, the most impressive part of the Philly game was the defense's ability to stick to AJ Brown and Devonta Smith even with Jalen Hurts having time to throw. Hurts' bread and butter is waiting for the DEs to lose contain or see the DTs bottled up and then running for 10 yard chunks. Though I've thought that LaMar Jackson is a similar player, I've always thought he was a superior player to Hurts. If the DTs play in this game, I think the Ravens are going to have a difficult time scoring.

The other side of the ball may be more iffy. The Niners' offense had big problems with Cleveland. While Baltimore doesn't have a Myles Garret, they still have some great players at LB (including pass rushing LB) and at safety. Cupp and Puka combined for 200 yards vs Baltimore last week, I think we can see that kind of production out of Deebo and Aiyuk. Kyren Williams also ran for over 100 yards. I believe the Niners' offense can produce something similar.

I hope deebo does damage through the air to try and get 1k

Did he actually say that or is that one of those fake quotes people are posting.

Seems somewhat not smart to give the 49ers bulletin board material.

I think both teams will be going into this to prove they're the real deal. Ravens defense is damn good and their back end rivals our own. Their safeties are excellent and their 2 linebackers are excellent as well…ours are better.

But we just saw pretty sloppy play by our defense vs a weaker offense so hopefully they go into this game upset at the tape they see and inspired to show the world they're the #1 defense even if stats may not show it.

On offense we are definitely the more talented team but Lamar is a unicorn. Ensuring he can't beat us with his legs, whether running for big yards or avoiding our rush and hitting back breaking plays on us is a must.

I do think our offense may find themselves with more stalled drives than we're used to but the key is playing smart football, don't hurt ourselves. Make the right reads, throw the ball on target, make the catches and hold onto the ball.

Wait is killing me…let's get this W and stay healthy!

So Hurts and Dak are out of the MVP running now they want Lamar Jackson to be the MVP. The hate on Brock is just too funny!

2015.

One of the few good moments in the Tomsula/Chip Kelly era.

Not this year. Time to flip it! Our defense need to show up and show out we are a better defense than the Ravens.
