I love the DVOA stats, but frankly to tell you the truth, those metrics and the PFF stuff are a lot of judgmental values in my opinion. First of all they are averaging a lot of the numbers and aren't specific matchups per team. I.e. A supposedly bad 49er OLine vs a supposedly good Eagles DLine, and the 49ers OLine massacres them. So going into the game the 49ers OLine is historically averaged vs the Eagles DLine historical average. Hence you get this historical statistics that are not really pertinent to specific matchups and specific teams. Having said that, again, love those stats, but I don't put more stock into it than just the fact it's the past, and the past does not actually predict the future, just probabilities.

yup we are #3 vs the run

When our DT's are all healthy. 🥴

I noticed him throwing a jump ball that could have easily been picked (probably SHOULD HAVE, in fact) but he got the MVP benefit of the doubt and it was a great play.

It's an amazing play when he throws up a prayer. A stupid decision when Brock does it.

I just don't get the anti-Purdy hype this year. If I'm not mistaken, it's almost as if pundits are looking for any excuse NOT to vote for him. They're just butthurt that they didn't recognize how successful he would be, and it's become a "I told you so" debate any time he flinches.

If Brock takes Lamar down next Monday, I bet these clowns jump all over Tyreek's nuts
I used to respect the Ravens organization. Then Super Bowl 47 happened and the nfl did everything they could to give an alleged murderer a story book ending

also Lamar Jackson is an overrated playoff choker who gets exposed when resorting to pure passing situations. You can say he's shown improvement this year, I don't expect that narrative to change come January, but at least he seems like a good guy unlike Ray Lewis

Seriously how can they keep coming up with all this stupid crap about Purdy when as a QB he's playing elite and only getting better. They keep pointing to his off games saying without all his weapons he basically sucks. I'm kinda getting sick of the Anti Purdy crap. I have not seen a QB this consistent for a Hella long time. He throws on a dime a route that's covered and is called foolish just because he's better than the other QBs at that throw. Yeah there is some hatred and jealousy that no one saw this coming. If it was Trey or Jimmy playing like this the same dumb asses would be drooling all over them. 😤 After this week the narrative will be OBJ and flowers were injured so they could not compete.
Would you guys start Lamar or Murray this weekend?

If the 49ers are going to lose this game (and I don't buy into that fact at all) it will be on special teams.

The Ravens earned that spot thanks to a thrilling overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams (6-7) last weekend that was sealed with a punt return touchdown from receiver Tylan Wallace.
That moment was big for Wallace, of course, but also for Baltimore as a whole, and stands out as the highlight moment in special teams coordinator Chris Horton's coach career so far.

Luter would have chased him down
I love that we are going to wear our throwbacks for the baltimore game. They're my favorite jerseys. I like the road white ones better but the red ones are awesome too.

Careful a lot of Lamar loving apologists in this thread think he's good...

Well, true. I like Luter. I think he'll be a good player for us, if Wilks really is a genius with the DB's. I hope he is. He's done great with Ambry, Ward, Gipson and Deommodor.

But Ronnie Bell returning makes me nervous as hell.

The Ravens are better/much better than the 49ers in just about every defensive category out there, except run defense. The 49ers offense will have a challenge, and can probably still score points (27?), however, the defense needs to step up big time.
Run defense + TACKLING + spy on Lamar + actually sack him vs just running after him. This is one of those matchups wherein there is really "one point of failure" for the entire Baltimore team.
Very tough challenge.
