Basically all we have to do is take GB seriously and we won't lose. And this Niners team this year has never taken an opponent lightly. Dallas thought they could just show up and win. That was really dumb.
Just possess the ball, no giveaways and score TDs in the RZ.

I went back to rewatch the Packers/Cowboys game. Two things stood out to me.
Dallas offense shot themselves in the foot - off target throws and drops early. On defense they played fairly well early on but couple of penalties and blown assignments to go with big boy plays by Love led to Packers scoring.
But the game went away from Dallas quickly and I think they simply folded. I think Packers are actually more of a challenge than Bucs/Eagles would've been but I do know one thing. The 49ers will not get pushed around the way Dallas did and given what Green Bay just did to Dallas they won't be taking us by surprise and I don't see the team coming in expecting to win simply because we're playing at home vs the #7 seed.
Go out there, play sound football and don't turn the ball over on offense. Tackle well on defense and don't make mental errors whether coverage breakdowns or bad penalties.
There are no trap games in the playoffs. Not worried abou this team's mindset. We're battle tested and hardened. Our mindset and focus is unparalleled in big games. Levi's now has that playoff atmosphere that Candlestick has. The crowd will be loud and electric. I like this Packers team, but this will be a valuable lesson for them going forward. Some teams are just at another level. They'll see that on Saturday night.

This is shaping up to be an old school playoff game.
Let's hope not. Rain would be a massive advantage for the Packers.
You think so? I don't. I respectfully disagree. The 49ers have a three-headed monster at RB, not counting our true fullback. We also have the best left tackle and left guard in the game when it comes to running the ball.
Updated forecast is calling for a lot of rain this weekend. Now, I do understand this can change a lot as the week moves forward. This whopper band could fizzle out as it moves closer. But, if it doesn't, there is going to be some heavy rain at Levi's. Not before or after the game. But during the game.

I'm with NY, Idk why everyone is scared. This is the playoffs and you're playing good teams but in reality - THEY have to play US! we are the team everyone should be scared of, all our boys have to do is stay focused/healthy/disciplined - and we should dominate.
If we play Baltimore in the Superbowl, I expect it to be tough, but I like our chances. if anyones reviewed the film, we played great but made way too many turnovers. they had like an 8 point lead with 4 interceptions.. we were moving the ball but just got unlucky (kudos to baltimores defense though - they made great plays). I think we dominate buffalo or KC if we play them.
LIke NY said, this is our year. if we do what we've been doing then it's a wrap!
we are the team THEY dont want to see, not the other way around.
f**king right! No one wants to face SF….players and their fan bases can pretend and act like we're not that alpha team…but EVERYONE knows deep down what's up.
There isn't gonna be any b***h play like Dallas and Philly put out there this weekend. You want to beat SF in SF….better be ready to get bloody.

How is rain an advantage to the Packers? Their 27th rank run D is gonna be better lol? They're a much better passing offense.
we got TRUE YAC monsters all over the field. Ya'll think tackling Deebo/BA/Kittle/CMC is better in the rain?
Rain is a MASSIVE advantage to SF NOT GB.

The 49ers have done that. Twice. Big snow games. Big playoff games. The 49ers thumped the Packers both times.

I agree with you. I'm not sure where Ring is coming from. But he might be looking at something we are not. Just in case, I looked at the stats. The 49ers have the third ranked ground game. The Pack is way back, middle of the pack. So, I'm not sure where Ring's feelings are coming from, OR if there's a stat he's looking at that I am not.

I think it has a lot to do with our losses in rain games. The loss to the ravens in 2019. The loss to the falcons in 2021. The loss to the bears in 2022. The loss to the Browns this past season. The turnovers and overall low offensive output in those games certainly could be a cause for concern. I am not concerned but I can certainly see an argument for it.

It literally makes zero sense. Love to hear his reasoning?
film and data say that's not the case

This team has been close the last 2 years just to come up short, especially last year when they all believed to be better than the Eagles. I do not think focus will be an issue going forward.
