we got TRUE YAC monsters all over the field. Ya'll think tackling Deebo/BA/Kittle/CMC is better in the rain?

Rain is a MASSIVE advantage to SF NOT GB.

I agree with you. I'm not sure where Ring is coming from. But he might be looking at something we are not. Just in case, I looked at the stats. The 49ers have the third ranked ground game. The Pack is way back, middle of the pack. So, I'm not sure where Ring's feelings are coming from, OR if there's a stat he's looking at that I am not.

I think it has a lot to do with our losses in rain games. The loss to the ravens in 2019. The loss to the falcons in 2021. The loss to the bears in 2022. The loss to the Browns this past season. The turnovers and overall low offensive output in those games certainly could be a cause for concern. I am not concerned but I can certainly see an argument for it.

It literally makes zero sense. Love to hear his reasoning?

film and data say that's not the case

The point is the potential for more randomness to be introduced into the game which could very well go entirely in the 49ers favor.

Imagine being down by 2 pts with time for just one more play...a 25 yd Moody fg attempt in a downpour

One other thing in the Niners favor is experience. They were in the NFC championship last year and lost any chance of winning when Brock was injured in the first series. Kyle has been in the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. He's seen the ups and downs. Many of the players have also been in the playoffs. Their anxious to get that bad taste out of their mouth from last year. There's no way they should be overlooking anyone. Still, I'm a little concerned about the layoff. They could be a little flat in that first quarter so they need to make sure they don't let GB get a couple easy scores early on.

its the playoffs they arent overlooking anyone there is a chance we lose in general (bad luck, mistakes, injuries, etc) but i have 0 doubt we are overlooking anyone

I also have 0 concern regarding coming out flat. I think we are going to come out on fire on offense. I think our guys are going to be feeling good, energized, and chomping at the bit to go.

That's great but it's nothing more than fan optimism. There's no way of knowing how they will play. The Packers are riding high after that win but maybe too high. Every game takes on its own personality and until they start playing you just don't know what you'll get. How often have you heard the pre game guys predict a high scoring game and it ends up being a defensive battle or the other way around. I've seen too many rested teams come off a bye and lay an egg to be as confident as you are. I certainly hope you're right.

Right but the same could be said that yours is just tan pessimism. We really won't know until the game comes, like you said. I just don't see a reason to be worried about that with this team cause we haven't seen that. Only concern I have is the team getting exhausted after 3 games because that's what we've seen.

i know what you mean though, I've seen teams come out flat too. I'm just optimistic because of the things kyles been having the guys do to keep 'em sharp while also rested. He didn't just give them 2 weeks to chill and do whatever they want. Another reason I'm optimistic is because this is mainly a veteran team with a handful of players/coaches that have experienced the bye week before in 2019. I just feel confident they'll come in focused and sharp

Stop with the rain. Weather.com says showers not rain. Stop! Go spend a day in Buffalo or KC and learn about real weather issues. Please learn the difference between showers and rain. Then try to chill

Idk if you saw my post to you yesterday - I think it evens us out a lot more than a normal weather game because it makes our offense more one dimensional. So they can stack the box more, but I do agree our run game is better than their run D and our run D will be fully healthy with armstead.

i think their qb has more ability to run the ball than ours does too. So I think that helps them.

idk if I'd say it gives them more of an advantage, I just think it levels the playing field more so because I think we have a massive advantage against them if we can fully operate our pass and run game.

Lol Cali rain isn't bad at all. It's more of light sprinkling and mist. When I was in Texas, it would freakin pour and flood everything nearly Everytime it rained.

It can do that here but as stated these are showers. Meaning a light mist then done for an hour and maybe back for drops then gone again. Showers.

Sunday projects rain.

I wonder if they make those plastic tops for wine glasses like when you order a Coke at Burger King. Maybe a little plastic top to keep the mist out of your wine.
No rain forecasted for Saturday in Santa Clara right now, depending on where you look at.

An L? That's all I see in that pic.

No need to hype anything up. Just kill them and move on.
