I hope not. That move makes zero sense to me. All it says is that there was a confirmed interview, so that's far from a guarantee of him being hired. Out of those options I'd go with Bullocks.

"The 49ers are likely to interview at least two other coaches from outside the building later in the week. Shanahan did not reveal which other outside candidates are being considered for the position.

NFL rules require clubs to interview at least two minority candidates for all coordinator positions."

So finally some news. But still not really.

I thought they interviewed all in house assistants already.

If there are guys left to interview later in the week, we likely won't know who it will be until sometime between Friday and Monday.

So will they have fulfilled the Rooney rule BEFORE they interview the two external candidates, or will at least one of those externals need to satisfy the Rooney rule?
I guess we know why we don't have any news yet.

This team had its thumb stuck up its butt last week

This guy with 18 likes in 30 minutes is a legit source? Come on…

He's posted stuff prior that held water. He clearly knows someone in the building. I highly doubt it happens though. I wouldn't want Pete either

Such as?

You'd think someone would learn to not make evidence-free guesses when their initial theories for something are shown to be highly unlikely by people with sources in the building and around the league.

so much for the it's a bad look because I'm impatient argument.

We fired our DC three days after the Super Bowl with no clear plan of replacing him. If we had a clear plan, we would have more than two interviews done in two weeks.

If this were any other team besides ours, you would be laughing at that team right now.

How does that even work? Sorenson puts together the gameplan so that Pete/Hoodie call the plays on gameday? That's stupid.
It seems the ones they are targeting highest would interview first. So, wrapping up? Staley isn't gonna stay away?

Kyle isn't a b******tter in the media. He already said he wrestled with fire, yes or no, and it wasn't until he woke up the Tuesday after and decided yes. There was no succession plan.
