Kyle said the interviews with internal candidates finished in the middle of last week. So obviously if the choice was internal he would have announced it. They were using the rest of the time to look for outside guys. Mostly silent on that part so you have to assume at this point that those candidates have passed.

Based off what? He's run basically the same defense for like 20+ years. He's always had big DL and a true NT. Lots of 2-gapping. He's always been heavy at having man cover DBs. His LBers have always been 250+lb guys.
