ehhh I must be the only fan not keen on Bill. Just his personality alone is so distant from the 49er culture but whatever. His defense was near midpack last year in stats? What is the love affair with the aging wonder?

They were top 10 in epa/p with a fraction of the talent we could provide.

I do wonder how you could bring him in and have such a contrast in coaching styles from one side of the ball to the other. Don't think it would be a for sure negative… just have a hard time seeing how it would exist.

I don't wonder too much because I think it's a pipe dream to expect a 6 time SB winning HC to take a DC position.

Honestly I think Pete the cheat is the most logical choice, other than age. Has ties here, knows the system, probably would like some revenge on the Seahags. just alot of dots that line up for him.
