this really isn't a bad defense. Just a really crappy and usually ineffective offense.

Its Mayo's first year. I'd give him another year or two to get the offense squared.

I think he's doing the right thing by not throwing the rookie in yet. Let him learn how to be a pro for a few months and then get him reps - especially when he doesn't have many weapons around him.

i think he's doing it right, they just have crap on offense across the board

Every week. It's fine though. No worries

The coaches are stuck with the players they are given. They expect them to perform. Just like when Sorensen calls a play he expects his players to perform the task. He doesn't expect his returner to run into his own man or Bosa to continue not to finish tackles. Same crap was said all year last season about the defensive coordinator when the dline underperformed.
