Correct, and that's why Aaron Rodgers, or perhaps more appropriately, Tom Brady, never landed on a Kyle Shanahan team.
Brady wasn't calling his own plays either. Rodgers went rogue because he's a dick and now he's stuck on a s**tty Jets team.
Didn't Brady bring Josh McDaniels offense to Tampa? Don't you think he'd want to do that here? Would Kyle ever accept that?
No he didn't. Bruce Arians offense was always about pushing the ball downfield. Tom while in TB was near the top in air yards and depth of target….something that he didn't do a lot of in NE.
Rogers reluctantly ran LaFleur'a offense and was MVP twice.

That is largely correct. Tampa's OC was Byron Leftwich, who largely ran Arians offense, but Brady caused it to be modified with McDanials stuff. My point is Kyle and Mike Shanahan have spent their whole lives developing their offense, and my personal opinion is they wouldn't be very flexible on systems. Arians system wants to go deep, and by the end, Leftwich was frustrated Brady wouldn't hold the ball to do that because he didn't want to get hit.
