Yeah basically free, I don't think he's very good anyway.

For a 6th round pick he could've taken the Robert Beal role or played next to Warner on some downs. Versatile player who could've helped.

Honestly, 49ers need to trade now and not wait for the stupid deadline. That way the player can get time with the new playbook now not later.
I won't be surprised If they trade for a receiver, especially with Aiyuk being out for the season and Deebo constantly missing time with Injuries, ect...no way we can keep putting Bell out there and not expect the worse.

He's not a LBer that runs around in coverage, he's got like 28 snaps doing that and has one of the worst coverage grades you can have as a EDGE defender. He's more of a 3rd down pass rusher. who hasn't been particularly good this yr.

decent depth for basically nothing

I agree. Also other teams are pulling the triggers early as well. May lose out on someone if you wait too long.

No I'm not saying coverage wise, but can he be any worse than Campbell out there!!! Everything I'm looking at is more for run support, teams are having little to no trouble running on this defense. He can't be all that bad, the Chiefs added him to an already pretty solid defense.

I know Brock is legit, but he's having a hard time finding chemistry with Bell and Conley. And the one new WR (basically two in Pearsall) who had an explosive play (deep pass vs KC) in Jacob Cowing, Bell gets more playing time than him. WTF!!!

Go get him.
Yup and if Diontae Johnson is available and price is right, yes!

I bet a 3rd round pick could get Dionte Johnson, just frickin do it already!!!
I want Landry

his contract isn't that bad (17.5/yr), and we could probably afford him beyond this year if we cut ties with Collins, Elliott, YGM

could probably be had for a 3rd or 4th

I mean that's like asking Floyd to play as an off-ball LBer. He's not really good as a run defender either.

he's a 3rd down pass rusher. He's not a base down defender imo.

we need DL, but it should be someone that can take on the role that YGM was suppose to have. We need a 260-270DL who can set the edge and be moved inside (if need be) or rush from the outside.

Folks always poo pooed AA, but he was damn good in that role.

3rd round?! My god the panthers traded Donte Jackson and a 6th for Johnson. He's not worth more than a 5th at this pt.

honestly I don't think they need a WR. Ricky looks like he can play, Deebo is still Deebo, kittle is looking like the best TE in football, Jennings is solid and CMC coming back.

Yeah I wanted DJ pretty bad. However last night Ricky looked good. Juan will be back. Maybe having 1 less mouth to feed will help Brock and Kyle. My focus is now on Cam Robinson and Andre Cisco. Work out a deal for both those Jaguars just offer them some long arm dudes.
