Yes they dumped a lot of money. They also just moved the best closer in baseball (or 2nd). Atlanta is going to be SO bad this year.

Elite closer on a 4th place team is worthless. Saved money and for the Pads #1 prospect. I'm not mad at the trade.

I understand the trade and I ripped the Braves at the time for both the Uggla and Upton signings. Just stupid moves that set the team back and they wont recover for years because of it. But, losing a guy like Kimbrel is tough.

Atlanta has another guy that can close. Shae Simmons has been called baby Kimbrel. Of coarse, he has the come back from Tommy John surgery though.
