I read somewhere the Lakers are very interested in George, but there's no clue from the pacers if they want to move him. I feel like if they're trading the #1 or 2 pick they'd want more than George. Like a bonified superstar #1. We'll have to wait and see.

Myles Turner is a nice piece to build around in Indy. If they wanted to start fresh, PG13 could yield them our #1 pick + JC if they pushed us. Obviously, I'd prefer if it yielded us PG13 + Mahini without having to give up JC but regardless, would do that in a heartbeat.

I wonder which way Walton would be inclined to go with the rebuild or build immediately decision? He probably doesn't have any input (or very little) anyway. I can't imagine him wanting Cousins though. I can't imagine anyone wanting him. But what do I know. I could see the Kings wanting to unload him for a change at Simmons though.

Supposedly, he said that Mitch and Laker brass shared with him our plan about which players we're targeting in FA. So in theory, he had to be onboard with the approach if he took the job or at least not hate it.

Yup. He's aware of what we are going to be doing and he liked what he heard. It was a 6 hour meeting

We just don't know what's gonna happen.

I think trading for George would entice other Superstars to join LA. I do like Ben Simmons and to see him grow with our young squad together. But in the other hand we can't forget about the bust card, so a sure thing like George could be hard to pass up. If the rumor is even true.

Demar Derozan is not a player I'd want us spending max contract type money on. He's just slightly above average IMO.

With the Lakers chances at a title as low as they are in the coming year, they're going to have to overpay to get someone to join a rebuilding project. The 4 year contracts in the new CBA reduce the risk to the team anyway, so I wouldnt mind giving a max contract unless you can suggest a better way to spend the money.

I wouldnt mind taking a chance on him to see what he can do in a free flowing offense rather than the dribble heavy offense they run in Toronto.

Any idea what his reputation on defense is?
