Yea the no salary cap is super unfair, I guess this is how the Oakland As fans been feeling forever but it just now hitting us with a big budget team in our division

100 percent agree, dodgers just doing this every friggin year with no limits, it's like I hear if the dodgers are in on it, there's no point in hoping cause they will be a dodger

Apparently according to the CBA rules, the deferred money amount is limitless. Both the Dodgers and Ohtani knew what they were doing when FA started. No one else ever had a chance.

$680M deferred until the end of the contract. So, the whole "we wouldnt have been able to pay anyone else if we signed Ohtani" excuse is nothing more than that....an excuse for not signing him.
He was NEVER going to sign with anyone but LA. You need to accept that and move on

I have never felt that the league needed a salary cap, as baseball is the professional sport with the most parity out of all.

Just as soon as you accept the fact that your crush Yamamoto is going to sign with the Dodgers too because of the way Ohtani's deal is structured. We are going to be left with our dick in our hand.

LOL Ive already accepted the fact that he will sign with either the Mets, Yankees, or Dodgers. And yes he is the guy I would love to have but I wont blame Farhan if he doesnt land him. I would go to LA too, join my countryman, and probably win multiple titles. Or, at least have a legit chance every year.

Was going to say the same thing. People just can't seem to wrap their mind around the fact that these players don't want to be here, and it has nothing to do with the money. They can get money from several better situations, so signing with SF makes no sense.
