The San Francisco 49ers announced that the team has signed linebacker LaRoy Reynolds to a one-year deal and officially announced the signing of running back Austin Walter to a three-year deal. The latter was first reported on Saturday.

San Francisco 49ers also waived defensive lineman Ryan Delaire to make room on the roster for the two signings. The team had just one vacant roster spot available before the additions.
Below is a rundown of each player as provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
Reynolds (6-1, 240) originally signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2013. Over the past six seasons with the Jaguars (2013-15), Chicago Bears (2015), Atlanta Falcons (2016-17) and Philadelphia Eagles (2018), he has appeared in 84 games (seven starts) and registered 59 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one pass defensed on defense to go along with 43 tackles and two fumble recoveries on special teams. He also appeared in seven career postseason contests and registered one tackle on defense as well as four tackles and two fumble recoveries on special teams. In 2018 with Philadelphia, he appeared in all 16 games and ranked second on the team with nine tackles on special teams. He also appeared in two postseason games and registered one tackle on both defense and special teams.
A 28-year-old native of Norfolk, VA, Reynolds spent four seasons (2009-12) at the University of Virginia. With the Cavaliers, he appeared in 45 games and earned All-ACC Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2012 after finishing with 90 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, four passes defensed and 1.0 sack.
Walter (5-8, 202) joins the 49ers as an undrafted free agent from Rice University. He appeared in 49 games (four starts) during his four-year career with the Owls and registered 345 carries for 1,744 yards and 13 touchdowns to go along with 79 receptions for 803 yards and five touchdowns through the air. He also added 71 kickoff returns for 1,548 yards (21.8 average).
In 2018, Walter earned All-Conference USA Honorable Mention honors for the second consecutive season after appearing in 13 games (four starts) and finishing with 133 carries for 564 yards and four touchdowns in addition to 44 receptions for 525 yards and two touchdowns. As a junior, he saw action in 12 games and registered 69 rushes for 400 yards and four touchdowns while adding 18 receptions for 219 yards and one touchdown through the air. In 2016, he saw action in 12 games and finished the season with 68 carries for 343 yards and four touchdowns along with 12 receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns. As a freshman, he earned Conference USA All-Freshman honors after leading the team with 1,097 all-purpose yards (652 kickoff return yards, 437 rushing yards, and eight receiving yards). He finished the season with 75 carries for 437 yards and one touchdown on the ground and five receptions for eight yards receiving.
A 22-year-old native of Crosby, TX, Walter attended Crosby (TX) High School where he was a two-time all-state selection after finishing his career with 613 rushes for 6,062 yards and 71 touchdowns in addition to catching 66 passes for 860 yards and seven touchdowns.
Delaire (6-4, 260) was originally signed to the 49ers practice squad on September 26, 2018, and was promoted to San Francisco's active roster on October 6, 2018. He appeared in one game prior to being waived on October 15. Delaire re-signed to the team's practice squad on October 17 and was promoted to the active roster on December 29, 2018.
A 27-year-old native of Windsor, CT, Delaire attended Towson University for two seasons (2013-14) where he started 27 games and registered 132 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and four passes defensed. He transferred to Towson after three years (2010-12) at the University of Massachusetts. At UMass, he appeared in 18 games and finished with 28 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks and one forced fumble.
