According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings has signed a two-year deal worth up to $15.4 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed. After being absent last week, Jennings has rejoined his teammates for organized team activities (OTAs) this week.

The 49ers tendered the restricted free agent a one-year contract worth $4.89 million but continued working on a new deal for the wide receiver. He never signed that tendered deal. The team officially announced the agreement as a one-year extension, keeping Jennings in the Bay Area through 2025.

"Jauan is really important to what we do. I think he continues to show that," general manager John Lynch said last month at the NFL Scouting Combine.
San Francisco selected Jennings (6-3, 212) from Tennessee in the seventh round (No. 217 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He recorded 19 receptions for 265 yards and a touchdown across 13 game appearances (two starts) last season, per Pro Football Reference. He added 10 catches for 111 yards and a touchdown through three playoff games.
Notably, including the playoffs, 20 of his 29 receptions last season resulted in first downs.

While his statistics may not impress those unfamiliar with the team, Jennings' physicality on the field embodies the essence of the 49ers' offense. His consistency in pivotal moments has cemented his role as a key contributor to the team's success.
"He plays the game exactly the way that you want it to be played, especially at that position," linebacker Fred Warner said in January. "I've said it before; I think he's one of the best football players on our team. He doesn't get all the attention or the limelight, but he's going to be there in the clutch situations when you need him."
Jennings, 26, has caught 78 passes for 963 yards and seven touchdowns over 45 game appearances (seven starts) throughout the past three NFL seasons.
