During the San Francisco 49ers' opening series against the New Orleans Saints, second-year defensive lineman Arik Armstead was slow to get up following a player. Armstead, last year's top pick by the 49ers, was able to walk slowly off of the field.

Armstead has been battling a shoulder injury since training camp and is wearing a harness on that shoulder today. He was seen shaking his left arm on the sideline and team trainers worked on that shoulder.

Armstead is reportedly questionable to return in this game.

Despite the injury, which may need surgery at some point, Armstead has been playing through the discomfort all season. He has played in seven games this season, starting three. He has had 14 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season.
