San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde was just 12 yards shy of his first career 1,000-yard season when, during the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Rams, he went down with an injury. Hyde was hit by CB E.J. Gaines following a catch, which caused the 49ers running back to fumble the football.

Following the play, Hyde left for the 49ers locker room to be evaluated. He was walking under his own power, but with a slight limp. Hyde entered the game needing 50 yards to hit the milestone, which he is unlikely to achieve this week.

Hyde was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Update:
Following the game, Hyde said that he would have an MRI on his knee on Sunday but remained hopeful that he could play next week against the Seattle Seahawks.
