The Tweet by Davis was later deleted, but luckily, Jon Becker of the Oakland Tribune and Contra Costa Times copied the text and shared it.
"I miss football," Davis said via Twitter. "I don't want to play for Jed, Trent or Pat though. They're all full of shit."
Jed would be Jed York, the team CEO. Trent is Trent Baalke, the team's general manager. Pat is Pat Flaherty, the team's offensive line coach.
These days, there probably aren't a lot of fans that would argue with Davis on the Jed and Trent part. The Niner Faithful are growing increasingly frustrated with the two and the direction that they have steered the organization since firing successful head coach Jim Harbaugh.
After retiring for health reasons last year, which included concussions, and following a year of what can be described as "social media attacks" against the 49ers and Baalke, Davis filed for reinstatement into the NFL. He was approved to return just as the 49ers opened training camp.
Despite his hard work and continued praises from the 49ers, Davis was never able to wrestle away the starting job from the bigger Trent Brown. Following the season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, Davis suffered another concussion. This time, it was during a practice as the team was preparing to play their Week 2 opponent, the Carolina Panthers. On September 26, Davis retired again from the NFL.
Of course, a return would mean that Davis would have to play for the 49ers.
