"It's just always a different feeling coming off of a win," Kaepernick said. "You see what it takes to win. You see what you did right and you have things to build on going into this week. So I think we have a good opportunity this week to come out and try to get another win."
Kaepernick went on to say that the victory renourished the love of winning that he has. "It had been a long time since we had that feeling," he continued. "To get a win and get it that way was huge for this team. It kind of sets a standard for us now that we can look at and say, 'Okay, this is what it took for us to win this week? We have to hold ourselves to this standard and above.'"
Kaepernick also discussed the Seahawks team that he will face on Sunday. "They've kept a lot of their core players," he said. "You see a lot of similar faces, familiar faces on defense. They run their defense. They run it very well. They know exactly what they're doing over there and they're very successful. They win a lot of one-on-one matchups, things like that. That's something we have to be prepared for."
Kaepernick led a fourth quarter comeback against the Rams in Los Angeles on Saturday. After not doing much of anything for most of the game and trailing by 14, the 49ers came storming back for the 22-21 road victory. Kaepernick finished the game 28 of 38 passing for 266 yards and two touchdowns. He had a passer rating of 99.2, his second-highest of the season.
