The San Francisco 49ers have announced that the team has placed C Marcus Martin on the injured reserve list. The offensive lineman becomes the team's 19th player on injured reserve. Martin appeared in five games and started two with the 49ers this season. He missed practices this week with an ankle injury and was declared out for Sunday's finale against the Seattle Seahawks.

To take his place on the roster, the 49ers have promoted RB Raheem Mostert from the practice squad.

Mostert entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. He spent time on their practice squad and was signed to the active roster of the Miami Dolphins on September 15, 2015. Mostert would go on to appear in one game with Miami, seven games with the Baltimore Ravens, and three games with the Cleveland Browns in 2015, where he returned a total of 19 kickoffs for 530 yards.

This season, Mostert spent time with Cleveland, the New York Jets, and the Chicago Bears before being signed to the 49ers practice squad on November 28.

The promotion of Mostert likely means that RB Mike Davis will be inactive on Sunday. Earlier this week, the 49ers placed starting running back Carlos Hyde on injured reserve.

Today's roster move will likely leave the 49ers with Shaun Draughn, DuJuan Harris, and Mostert as the active running backs for Sunday's game.
