Head coach Chip Kelly has not yet been informed that he would be fired. However, Kelly will be meeting with ownership following the game and that is most likely when he will be informed of the decision.
An unnamed 49ers player told the San Francisco Chronicle on Saturday night that the team hadn't been told anything regarding Kelly's future and that the focus was on the final game of the season, a matchup this afternoon with the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium.
Last night, Adam Schefter of ESPN broke news that both Baalke and Kelly would be fired in a 49ers move to clean house.
"For the 49ers, this is what they deemed best," said NFL Network's Ian Rapoport last night following the report. "Pull the plug on the Chip Kelly era, send him back to college, and start new with what they hope is a high powered head coach and a smart general manager."
