There has been some talk of where former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula might land. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that he will be interviewing with the New Orleans Saints at this week's Senior Bowl for their defensive line coach job.

Tomsula served as the 49ers defensive line coach for eight years before being promoted to their head coach following the firing of Jim Harbaugh. Tomsula is still one of the more respected defensive line coaches in the league.

With Tomsula as the head coach in 2015, the 49ers won five games. He was fired following that season and replaced by Chip Kelly. Tomsula also had a win while serving as the 49ers' interim head coach following the firing of Mike Singletary during the 2010 season. The Week 17 victory came against the Arizona Cardinals.

A Tomsula hiring would be significant for 49ers ownership because, if hired, his new salary would be deducted from the amount that San Francisco still owes him.
