The San Francisco 49ers have signed former New York Giants kicker Robbie Gould to a two-year deal. The deal was first reported by Jordan Raanan of ESPN but then confirmed by the team minutes later.

Gould, who was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2005, has also spent time with the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens. Over his career, he has completed 85.9-percent of his field goal attempts, making 286 of 333.

Gould was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2006 and was a First-Team All-Pro that same year. He played for the Giants last season after kicker Josh Brown' legal troubles surfaced. Signed on October 20, Gould made all 10 of his field goal attempts with his longest being from 47 yards out.
