The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed former Chicago Bears TE Logan Paulsen to a one-year deal. The agreement between Paulsen and the 49ers was reported earlier on Thursday, but could not become official until after the start of free agency at 1 p.m.

Paulsen spent four years (2010-2013) with current 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan with the Washington Redskins. Shanahan was the offensive coordinator in Washington at the time. Chicago signed Paulsen to their active roster on September 4, 2016.
