The San Francisco 49ers are permitted to host up to 30 players for visits at the team's headquarters in Santa Clara. Visitors are not allowed to work out for the team unless they are local prospects. The 49ers are free to host an unlimited number of local prospects and they do not count against the limit of 30 visitors.

Local prospects will be able to work out for the 49ers during the team's local pro day, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, per Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.

The local pro day will feature athletes from college programs in the area like Stanford, Cal, and San Jose State. Draft prospects from the Bay Area who played for college teams elsewhere are also eligible to take part.

The 49ers currently have 10 selections in the upcoming draft, which kicks off on April 27 in Philadelphia. In 2016, the 49ers hosted 67 players at their local pro day.
