Paige ran a 4.52-second 40-yard dash, had a vertical jump of 31.5 inches, and a broad jump of 116 inches at his pro day earlier this month. The 5-foot-7 receiver was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. Over his college career with the Hoosiers, Paige had a total of 115 receptions for 1,330 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons as a starting receiver. He also returned two punts for touchdowns on special teams.
"I'm not a track star," Paige told the school newspaper. "Whatever I'm doing, just let myself do it. Whatever they want me to do, need me to do to get me a chance, that's what I'm gonna do."
The team has also held a private workout for UNC-Pembroke kicker Matt Davis, per Wilson. He has also taken part in workouts for the Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers.
Davis finished his college career with the Braves as the holder of multiple school records and was considered to be one of the nation's top kickers. He set a NCAA record for accuracy over his time with UNC-Pembroke, completing 37 of his 44 attempts (84.1-percent). During his senior year, Davis was part of a Braves program that became the first in history to earn a playoff victory and reach 10 wins. He set school records for longest field goal (58 yards) and longest punt (78 yards).
