Veteran guard Brandon Fusco is expected to sign with the San Francisco 49ers, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

As Rapoport points out, the signing adds depth to the 49ers roster. The team did not address the offensive line during the 2017 NFL draft, which concluded on Saturday.

Fusco spent the past six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He was released in February in a move that will save Minnesota $13.9 million over the next two seasons. Fusco has been plagued with injuries in recent years, which also contributed to the decision by the Vikings to release him.

Fusco was originally a sixth-round draft pick out of Slippery Rock by Minnesota in the 2011 draft.
