Kaepernick remains a free agent while other options such as Blaine Gabbert (Arizona Cardinals), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), and now Austin Davis are signed with NFL teams. Davis, drafted by the Rams, has been a journeyman quarterback who most recently played for the Denver Broncos but has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.
It seemed like the Seahawks were slated to sign Kaepernick; the Seahawks were the only team that actually brought him in for a team visit during the offseason. With OTAs now starting for NFL teams, it remains to be seen where Kaepernick will go at this point.
