With San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman DeForest Buckner having aggravated a low-ankle sprain during Friday night's 27-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, the team is working out two veteran defensive ends – Leger Douzable and Ricardo Matthews, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Douzable has been in the league since 2008, when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings. Since then, he has spent time with the New York Giants, St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills. Douzable has 159 career tackles, 6.5 sacks, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.

Matthews was a seventh-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 NFL Draft. He has also spent time with Houston Texans, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Matthews has 108 career tackles, five sacks, four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

Our own Al Sacco reported on Saturday that Buckner's injury is not believed to be serious, but the defensive lineman is doubtful for the next preseason game against the Denver Broncos, which is scheduled for Saturday. Buckner had originally suffered the injury earlier in training camp and missed three practices because of it.
