The Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) are coming off of a 34-24 Week 7 victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday night. Prior to the win, Philadelphia was already a heavy favorite over its Week 8 opponents – the winless San Francisco 49ers (0-7). The two teams meet on October 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and the 49ers, coming off of a 40-10 beating at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys, still seek that elusive first victory of the season.

On Monday, Vegas oddsmakers had the Eagles listed anywhere from 10.5- to 12-point favorites over the 49ers, according to various casinos and betting sites. The high in that range increased to 14 points following the Eagles' victory over Washington. The over/under for Sunday's game is listed at 47.5 points.

San Francisco heads into the matchup with rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard starting just his second NFL game while Philadelphia has second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, who has thrown for 1,852 yards, 17 touchdowns, and four interceptions this season.

The 49ers came out victorious in their last two matchups with the Eagles. However, prior to that, Philadelphia won five straight, which tied the longest streak in the series (the 49ers won five-straight from 1984 through 1992).
