Believe it or not, the San Francisco 49ers weren't yet officially eliminated from playoff contention going into Sunday. Wins by the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons changed that.

The 2017 season represents the fourth-straight season San Francisco will miss the postseason. The last time the 49ers took part in a playoff game was their NFC Championship Game appearance during the 2013 season, which coincidentally was against the Seattle Seahawks – the same team they are playing on Sunday. As of this post, Seattle has a healthy 21-6 lead over the 49ers.

While a loss on Monday night to Atlanta pushed the Seahawks out of the current postseason picture, they remain in playoff contention. The Los Angeles Rams, who are in first place in the NFC West, are playing the New Orleans Saints.

Also eliminated during Week 12 were the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants, according to CBS Sports.
