San Francisco 49ers right tackle Trent Brown, once again, started the week by not practicing with his teammates. He was inactive for the 49ers' game this past Sunday against the Houston Texans. Guard Zane Beadles filled in for Brown and allowed a sack and six quarterback hurries, according to Pro Football Focus. Brown has missed two of the past three games for the 49ers with a shoulder injury.

Also absent from Wednesday's practice was wide receiver Louis Murphy (illness). Left tackle Joe Staley and defensive end Elvis Dumervil were given their typical veteran days off.

Safeties Eric Reid (knee, rib) and Adrian Colbert (thumb, though) were seen practicing in blue no-contact jerseys. Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who suffered a knee sprain against the Texans, was limited. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday that there is a "chance" Witherspoon plays on Sunday.

Below are the official Wednesday practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Titans, as provided by the 49ers Communications department.
