San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has earned his first league-sponsored award and been named the FedEx NFL Air Player of the Week.

Garoppolo is coming off of his third-straight start with the 49ers. During a Week 15 victory over the Tennessee Titans, he passed for a single-game career-high 381 yards, a touchdown, and a passer rating of 106.8.

Garoppolo was acquired by the 49ers via a trade with the New England Patriots on October 30. In his three starts this season, Garoppolo has led the team to three-straight victories (vs. Bears, Texans, Titans) and completed 77 of his 113 pass attempts for 1,008 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Garoppolo's 1,008 passing yards over the past three games set a franchise record for the most by a quarterback in his first three starts with the 49ers.
