The 49ers will wrap up the 2017 season with a tilt against the LA Rams in Los Angeles at 1PM. The Niners are among the hottest teams in the NFL right now, having won their last 4 games under the guidance of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

A win would give the 49ers a 5 game winning streak to end the season, their longest streak since the 2013 season under Jim Harbaugh. They'll have to do it against many of the Rams backups, as Rams head coach Sean McVay has indicated he is resting starters Jared Goff, Todd Gurley and Aaron Donald, among others.

The Rams have locked up the NFC West and are locked into the 4 seed, at worst and will get at least one home game in the postseason, prompting the decision from McVay.

49ers wideout Marquise Goodwin has a legitimate shot at 1,000 yard season, needing only 66 yards to reach the milestone for the first time in his career. Running back Carlos Hyde has an outside shot at 1,000 yards rushing, needing 150 yards today.

However, the story of the second half of the season (and beyond) is undoubtedly Garoppolo. He has set an NFL record by throwing for 1,217 yards in his first four starts, surpassing Hall of Famer Kurt Warner. Garoppolo has never lost a start in his career and will look to keep that going today.

Today marks what could be the last game with the 49ers for a couple of familiar faces, as Hyde and safety Eric Reid are both impending free agents this offseason.
