Turner has spent more than three decades with the 49ers both as a player and as part of the team's front office. He was initially a second-round draft pick by the 49ers in 1980 and was part of four Super Bowl teams (XVI, XIX, XXIII, and XXIV).
Other moves include Austin Moss II being named Director of Player Engagement and Ethan Waugh being promoted to College Scouting Director.
Moss joins the 49ers after more than six years with the NFL in multiple roles. he most recently served the role of Senior Manager, Football Administration and Development for the league.
Waugh is entering his 15th year with the 49ers and served the previous three as Senior Player Personnel Coordinator.
